Brynn Lilah Sklar
NYC-based Stage Manager [she/they]
As a queer Jewish artist born and raised on Miami Beach, Brynn accidentally fell into the world of theater. As a preteen, they were fully committed to playing softball during the school year until they were asked to help move scenery for the school play, which started them down the track of being a stagehand, directing, and landing on their passion - stage managing.
Brynn is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University with a BFA in Drama and a concentration in Stage and Production Management. They also have a minor in Creative Writing, with their focuses being split between poetry, and stage & screen writing. Brynn also studied as a stage management apprentice at The Juilliard School for a season.
They have worked on a variety of new and existing works throughout their educational and professional life including, but not limited to: plays, musicals, events, operas, cabarets, dance showcases, and more. They have also worked coast to coast, in both Florida and California, but has spent the last few years building their life in the NYC theater scene with definite plans to stay!
Brynn's motto is that you can always learn to be a good stage manager, but you have to start by being a good person.
They are very excited to be working full time in this industry, not only putting their learned skills to use, but also to continuing to learn new skills in their day to day.
